Our goal is to provide nutrient dense food to Rome and surrounding area.
Meet the Farmer
My name is Brandon Williams. I was born and raised in Rome, Georgia. I graduated from Rome High School and Georgia Northwestern Technical College. I started gardening at a young age in my Grandpa's garden. He inspired me by teaching me his fascination with growing and caring for plants. In my freshman year of high school, I designed a Community Garden for my Eagle Scout Project. I also was battling ulcerative colitis which affects your digestive system while this project was taking place. This disease made me more aware of what we are putting into our bodies and how it affects us over time. Through these experiences and challenges in my life, I would like to bring locally grown produce to my community and surrounding area. My grandpa also taught me how to make hand built pottery. When not working on the farm, I enjoy making unique pieces of pottery which I sell at my uncle's shop in North Carolina.
About the Farm
The farm is located in Armuchee, Georgia. The growing space is about 1/4 of an acre. I grow seasonal vegetables and leafy greens.
This farm is Certified Naturally Grown. My goal at Quiet Acres Sustainable Farm is to provide quality vegetables and other seasonal products to my community and surrounding area. The values that I believe in are the environment, community, responsibility and stewardship. I plan to implement these values every day by partnering with local food banks, participating in clean water initiatives, fostering collaboration with other farmers and responsibly caring for the land I farm.
